Valerie Stoeckler Colella, 74, of Pittston, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at home.
Born in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Stoeckler and Mary Waruch Brace.
Valerie graduated from James M. Coughlin High School and attended Kings College. In her earlier years she was employed by Luzerne County.
Valerie will always be remembered for her ferocious independence, fighting spirit and love of family, faith, music and literature.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dr. Brenda Kolker and Kathie Depew.
She is survived by her daughter Alicia Colella and son in law Alan Libby, Ormond Beach, FL. and son Jeff Colella and his wife Maura, Exeter. Grandchildren Gianna Colella, Maya Colella, Alicia Libby, Juliana Girard and niece Wendy Kidd.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 9:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church 35 William St., Pittston.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 8:30AM till time of mass.
Interment will be private.
