Tony John Williams, 73, of West Pittston, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, in Maple Ridge, Kingston.
Born in Pittston on December 24, 1949, he was the son of the late John and Jean Frame Williams.
Tony was a graduate of Wyoming Area, Class of 1969. He served in the US Army 82nd Airborne for 3 years. He was a graduate of West Side Vo Tech and received an Associate’s degree in business from Wilkes University. He retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot after 35 years of service. He was a deacon and council member of his church for many years.
Tony was a Civil War historian and an avid gun collector. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. He loved being with his family and having friends and neighbors stop by to visit while sitting on his front porch. He will be truly missed by all.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Deborah Yorio Williams; children, Brian Williams (Daneen), Exeter; Jarrod Williams (David), Philadelphia; and Jason Williams (Michelle), Wilkes-Barre Township; grandchildren, Brian, Jacob, Ava, Jessica, Brianna, and CJ; great granddaughter, Cora; siblings, Melinda Wisnosky (David), Harding; Mark Williams (Geej), FL; Lori Bryan (Glen), MD; and Gina Felker (Al), Harding; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 2pm in the First Congregational Church, 500 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
To Debbie and the whole family of Tony Williams I am filled with great sadness and sorrow upon hearing of Tony's death. Tony was among the greatest friends and proudest men I have ever known.
