Pompein Delicati

Pompein Delicati, 100, formerly of West Pittston, passed away Friday morning, March 26, 2021 in Highland Park Senior Living, Wilkes-Barre Township.

Born in Pittston on October 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Santo and Christina Lucente Tabone.


Pompein was a graduate of Pittston High School and in her earlier years, she had worked as a secretary for Tabone and Barbara – her family’s construction business.


Pompein was an outstanding homemaker and Italian cook. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be truly missed.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph August Delicati and sister Frances Tabone Stuccio.


Surviving are her daughters Rosemary Delicati Vullo and husband Joseph, PVE, CA and Christine Delicati Marianacci, West Pittston; grandchildren, Charlene Medico, Kingston; Marlena Nockley and husband Frank, Shavertown; Joseph Medico, Irvine, CA; Michael Vullo, West Hollywood, CA; Dominic Marianacci and wife Joelle, Dallas; Christina Doughton and husband Ryan, Dallas; Alissa Marianacci and husband Rex Harris, Wyoming; and Joseph Marianacci, West Pittston; great-grandchildren Alexandra and Frankie Nockley; Dominic and Maya Marianacci; Giuliana and Leah Doughton; and Easton and Rocklyn Harris; brother, Leonard Tabone and his wife Mary, West Pittston; numerous nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00am in Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.Those attending are asked to go directly to church and follow CDC guidelines of wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance.Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation www.alzfdn.org.Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
