Nancy L. Montagna, 91, of Pittston passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughters, Friday, October 11, 2024.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Nevi) Ferrara.
Nancy was a graduate of Pittston High School class of 1950 and she worked in the local Garment Industry.
Nancy is now reunited with her late husband, of 66 years, Carmen “Big Tom” Montagna. Together they enjoyed traveling and raising their family.
Nancy loved Sunday dinners and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Patrick Cawley, and siblings Patrick Ferrara, Louise DeSantis, Josephine Romeo, Grace Wilchinski, Mary Polak and Carrie Donato.
Surviving are her daughters Jeanie Montagna, Pittston, Lenore Cawley, Dupont, Carmel and husband Judson Spencer, Yatesville and Nancy and husband Angelo Terrana, Plains.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Amanda Goach (Jonathan), Patrick Cawley (Jennifer), Matthew Cawley, Mia Terrana (Eddie), Angelo Terrana and great-grandchildren Peyton, Jameson, Maura and Evan as well as sisters-in-law Leona and Pat Montagna and brother-in-law Sal Montagna, numerous nieces, nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4-7pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC. 251 William Street Pittston and again Wednesday, October 16, 2024 8:30-9:15am in the funeral home.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish 237 William Street Pittston, private interment St. Rocco’s Cemetery.
