Michael Charles Cefalo

Michael Charles Cefalo, 91, of Exeter, formerly of Pittston, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, in Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit, Dunmore.


Born in Pittston on December 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Michael and Marietta Battista Cefalo.


He was a 1949 graduate of Pittston High School, continuing his academic and athletic pursuits at California State University – San Bernadino. He worked as a Quality Control professional spending more than fifty years at Medico Industries and retired as Manager.


Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a family man in the purest sense. His love of family knew no bounds. He spent his life putting the needs of those he loved before his own. He was a man of faith. He was a voracious reader, always surrounded by books.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Angelo, Mario, Sam, Joseph, and Anthony Cefalo.


Surviving is his wife, Barbara Cecconi Cefalo, Exeter; daughter, Marianne Musto, and husband Vincent, Yatesville; son, Michael C. Cefalo and wife Judith, Exeter; grandsons, Jason Azarovich (Jennifer), Dallas; Michael A. Cefalo (Jacqueline), Shavertown; and Matthew C. Cefalo (Sarah), LaVern, CA; great granddaughters, Elyiana and Amelia Cefalo; numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends and relatives Monday, February 26, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at the Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10am in Parish of St. Barbara, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment, at the convenience of the family, in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be offered to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA.
