MaryJo Emanuel, 76, of Jenkins Township, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Born in Pittston on September 17, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Mullins Corcoran.
MaryJo was a 1963 graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School. In 1965, she married the love of her life, the late William M. Emanuel. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage together.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Emanuel; granddaughter, Miranda Miner; sister, Ann Woodmancy; and brother, Francis Corcoran.
MaryJo enjoyed her role as housewife, and made a warm, loving home for her family, in which many happy family gatherings took place throughout the years. Mary Jo was rarely seen without her shopping buddy and sister the late Anne Woodmancy.
Surviving are her children, Michele Matusavige (her husband Gordon), Tunkhannock; and Atty. William J. Emanuel, Jenkins Township; grandchildren, Sarah Miner; Gordon Matusavige, Jr; Leela Emanuel and Taara Emanuel; great-granddaughter, Violet Cirelli; brothers, James Corcoran (his wife Eve), Avoca; Joseph Corcoran (his wife Mary), Erwin; Brian Corcoran (his wife Joan) Dallas; and Kevin Corcoran, Jenkins Township; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial and interment are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
