Loretta A. Joyce, 87, of Dupont passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Jefferson Lansdale Hospital. Born in Pittston on April 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Justina (Anna) Rainone Riccetti.
Loretta was a graduate of Pittston High School and Lackawanna Business College. In her earlier years, Loretta had worked for the Department of Welfare, in various retail positions, at Monroe Business Systems, and at the Bank of America.
Loretta was an active member of St. Joseph Marello Parish and was involved in many church activities. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the church choir. She along with her husband, were founding members of the Pittston Area Band Parents Association where they formed many close friendships, enjoying trips and weekly get-togethers as the “Alumni Forever”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Joyce in 2021, and brother, William Riccetti.
Surviving are her children, Joseph G. Joyce (Bonnie), Lansdale and Colleen Price (Ralph), Lansdale; grandchildren, Michael and John Joyce and Brendon and Justina Price; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, September 15, 2023, from 5pm-7pm and Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 8:15am to 9:15am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
