Leonard John Tabone, 95, of West Pittston, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Pittston on November 14, 1928, he was the son of the late Santo and Christina Lucente Tabone.
He was a graduate of Pittston High School and the University of Scranton. He served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. He was a partner in Tabone and Barbara Construction and Pittston Lumber. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Tabone Stuccio and Pompein Tabone Delicati.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Rotondaro Tabone; daughters, Christine Torok (David), Shillington; Gloria Tabone, Wyoming; Annette Peck (Vincent), West Pittston; and Marilyn Klocko (David), Addison, TX; grandchildren, Shealene Bibian (Cory); Peter Torok; Vincent Peck (Caroline Baran); Nicholas Peck; Dominick Peck; and Alexandra Peck; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, June 21, 2024, from 8:30am-10:30am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am in Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, 1703 Jackson Street, Scranton. Interment will follow in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township.
