Tony and Katie Morreale married in 1961 and found teaching careers in Baltimore, Maryland where they raised their family. The marriage ended in divorce.
Katie’s pride was always her students and school. She taught 2nd grade for a total of 40 years, briefly in New Jersey, at Saint Rita’s School in Baltimore County and for Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland. She shared her passion for learning with well over a thousand children throughout the years and inspired so many.
Joy in life for Katie was always simple; walks with her dog, attending mass, summers at the beach, watching the Baltimore Ravens, Notre Dame football, anything Irish and enjoying a cold glass of beer on her deck. Her pleasant personality and hearty laugh were contagious and will truly be missed.
Surviving Katie are her sons Anthony and Jerry, daughter Ann and son-in-law Joe of Baltimore County; cherished grandchildren Katelyn, Kristen, Meredith, Andrew, and Morgan; beloved sisters Marilyn Krall and Margy O’Malley, and kind brother-in-law Ned O’Malley; many loving and adored nieces and nephews.
