Joseph Latona, 82, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly at home Friday, August 26, 2022.
Born in Pittston on March 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Joseph and Louise Ross Latona. He was a graduate of Pittston High School and had worked as a barber and also a bus driver for Yatesville Bus Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Vivalda) Latona and a sister, Connie Laskowsky.
Surviving are his son, Joseph Latona Jr. (Mary), Bear Creek; daughters, Laura Zdancewicz, MSN, CRNP, (David Gambal), Bear Creek and Sandy Latona-Mello, M.D. (Bill), Center Valley; grandchildren, Nicholas Latona; Tara Zdancewicz, fiancé Cody Meredick; Zachary Mello and Alyssa Mello; a half-brother, Stephen Romanecz, Pittston, numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
