John Maira, Sr., 87, of Pittston, passed away Thursday February 27, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born in Pittston he was the son of the late Ross and Josephine Buschemi Maira.
John was a graduate of Pittston High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was employed by Zorgo Printing Service, Pittston.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Maira, in 2019, also daughter-in-law, Jodi Maira, sister, Angie Sellani and brothers, Sam and Carl Maira.
Surviving, sons, John Maira, Wyoming, and Rich Maira and wife Tatiana, Pittston and grandchildren Christine Maira and Lucas Maira, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Monday March 3, 2025 from 5-7PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William St., Pittston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday March 4, 2025 at 9:30Am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St. Pittston, those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday morning.
