Joanne Theresa (DeLucia) Kroski, 81, of Hughestown, passed away Thursday evening, November 2, 2023, in Wesley Village. Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Rucco DeLucia.
She was a graduate of Hughestown High School. In her earlier years, she had worked at Greco’s Restaurant, Exeter and The Golden Palace, Wilkes-Barre. She retired as a supply logistics representative for Geisinger. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Joanne was a strong, beautiful woman and will always be loved by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Kotlowski and a brother, Joseph DeLucia, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Joseph J. Kroski; sons, Joseph Meranti (Hope), Jenkins Township and Dan Meranti (Maureen), Hughestown; grandchildren, Joseph Meranti, Kathryn Lokuta (Mike), Ryan Meranti, and Robert Meranti; 7 great-grandchildren; grandpuppies; brother, Daniel DeLucia (Betty), Harding; numerous nieces, nephews and dearest friends.
Our family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at Wesley Village for their kind and compassionate care given to Joanne and support to our family.
In accordance with Joanne’s wishes, services are private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
