Frank J. Centrella, Jr., 72, of Pittston passed away at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Friday, December 2, 2022.
Born in Pittston on July 4, 1950, “Frankie” was the oldest son of Frank “Cisco” Centrella and Florence “Flossie” Ardoline Centrella.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Florence and his brother Richard.
Frank lived his whole life in Pittston and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. He worked with his father in carpentry and then worked for Penn Dot several years. When he was younger Frank loved the comedy The Three Stooges, fast cars and being outdoors fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was often seen walking
the neighborhood and attending church at Mount Carmel.
He is survived by his brother Roy and wife Jane with children Lauren, Christian and Alex and his brother Robert “Gator” and wife Ann Marie with children Amanda and Anna. He is also survived by sister-in-law Joyce with children Hope and Christine, uncle/brother Neil Ardoline and his wife Debbie and numerous relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Joseph Marello in Pittston on Saturday 12/10 at 10:30am officiated by his cousin Rev. Thomas J Major.Friends will be received at the church from 9:30am-10:30am. Inurnment at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Basil’s Church, PO Box 307, Dushore, PA 18614 in his remembrance. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC.
