Eileen (O’Boyle) Banul, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16th. Born to parents Joseph and Irene Lyons O’Boyle, she lived her life as a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She spent her last few years winning over the hearts of the nurses at Weatherwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in White Haven with her spitfire Irish personality. She might have been tiny, but her personality was fierce.
It could be said that Eileen was born to work in restaurants, getting her start with her sisters working at The Nook. Her family then opened The Seafood Shanty where she served for many years until it was sold and she moved on to Villa Roma. She finally ended her industry career at Savo’s in Pittston, where many people grew to know and love her.
When not working, Eileen devoted her time to her children and loved them dearly. She’s survived by her sons, Richard Banul and Michael Banul. She’s also survived by her three grandchildren: Samantha and wife Shannon, Sean and wife Alaney, Skylar and partner Richie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She’s preceded in death by her former husband Edward Banul, son Edward Jr. and siblings, Robert O’Boyle, William O’Boyle, Ann Donahue, Sally Wieczorek, and June Jeffrey.
A private ceremony will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
Mike, I’m very sorry about your mother’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Ann Irvin
