Ann Grace Manganello

Ann Grace Manganello, 89, of West Pittston, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, February 6, 2022.


Born in Pittston on November 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Guilia Casagrande DeNardi.

Ann graduated from Pittston High School. In her earlier years, she had worked for the Wyoming Area School District in the cafeteria. She retired as advertising department secretary for Intermetro Industries.


She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston. A loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, Ann will be truly missed. Ann treasured her family and enjoyed spending time with them, esp. her grandkids and grand-dogs. Her greatest loves were her garden, reading novels, chocolate and adventures with her nieces.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Manganiello in 2008; brothers Gino and Elio

DeNardi and sisters, Edith Serino and Mary DePaula.


Surviving are her daughters, Maria Carey (Jim), Shavertown; Andra Shanley, Elliott City, MD; and Melinda Waltz, West Pittston; grandchildren, JT Carey, Julia Held, Kristen Held, Claudia Waltz and Bella Waltz; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:30am in Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. Interment, West Pittston Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
