Ann B. Loyack

Ann B. Loyack, 101, of Daniel J. Flood Tower, Kingston, passed away Monday March 17, 2025 at home.


Born in Plains March 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the later Frank and Ann (Kroll) Gayewski.


Ann graduated from Plains High School and worked for many years at General Cigar Company, Nanticoke.


She was lifelong member of S.S. Peter and Paul Church, Plains and in her later years her spiritual needs were met by her nephew Tom Vaxmosky, Eucharistic minister. Ann was a loving sister and aunt and will be missed.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, brothers, Frank and John Gayewski and sisters; Mary Krywicki, Sofie Griglock, Angeline Turos, Josephine Monko, Frances Lapsansky, Stella Vaxmonsky, and Dolores Shock.


She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.


A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church 35 William St. Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday morning from 9AM till times of mass in the church. Interment, S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Plains.


Ann’s family would like to thank staff from Compassus Hospice for the care they provided to Ann and a special thank you to “Honey” from Help at Home, for everything she did for Ann over the past year.
