Salvatore E. Falvo, 70, of Pittston passed away peacefully after a long courageous fight on November 3, 2019. Born February 13, 1940 to the late James and Anna Perillo Falvo.

Sam enjoyed spending his free time fishing and playing cards. A good card game was one of his favorite past times and holds many memories with family and friends. Sam retired from Owens of Illinois as an inspector. He was a proud member of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston as well as the Lions Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving son James Falvo, brother Serafino Falvo, sister Leonna Mennona and husband Matty and Marie Garribaldi and husband John, sister-in-law Ethel Falvo and nephew Serafino Falvo Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Patricia Novak Falvo, daughter Jessica Homschek and husband Keith, son Gerald Falvo and companion Erin Cressman, daughter-in-law Gabriella Falvo. Grandchildren; Lindsay Homschek, Keith Homschek, Jr., Amber Falvo, Logan Falvo, Samantha Falvo (Good), Tearron Falvo, Courtney Falvo and Isabella Falvo; 9 Great Grandchildren who he loved and adored. Also surviving are brother Philip Falvo and sister Deloris Francello and husband Vince, former daughters-in-law, Lisa Falvo McCabe and Georgia Falvo Baker, who were a special part of his life, numerous nieces and nephews.

Sam touched many lives with his contagious smile and warmth. Sam’s love for his family and friends was truly his greatest gift of all and will be forever missed.

The family would like to thank Dr. Guy Fasciana, all the nursing staff at Wesley Village and the Compassionate Care Hospice who helped keep him comfortable in his final days. They would also like to especially thank those who went above and beyond to give Sam extra special care.

Family and friends may call Saturday November 9, 2019, at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston from 10AM-12PM with a blessing service at 12 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
