Patrick G. “Pickens” Walsh, 59, of Hughestown, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, surrounded by family. Born in Pittston on February 22, 1958, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Margaret Toner Walsh.
He attended Pittston Area High School and was formerly employed as a plant operator for the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dianne Tigue; brother-in-law former State Representative Thomas M. Tigue; and infant brother Joseph Walsh.
Surviving are nephew Thomas Tigue, Jr., Hughestown; nieces Tracy Ashby and her husband Andy, Jenkins Township; Kristin Lazevnick and her husband Chris, Yatesville and Colleen DeFrank and her husband Steve, Harrisburg; great nieces and great nephew, Eastin, Madison, Taryn and Ashton Ashby; Trevor and Kendall Tigue; Rowan Lazevnick; and Brynn and Paige DeFrank. Patrick is also survived by several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00pm in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 North Main Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday afternoon. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Hughestown.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, February 23, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
