Albert J. (A.J.) Slusser, III, 34, of Birmingham, Alabama and formerly of Pittston Twp. passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Born on June 28, 1983 in Scranton, he is the son of the late Albert J. Slusser, Jr. and Barbara Tibel Slusser, Pittston Twp.
A.J. was a graduate of Pittston Area and the LCCC Culinary Arts Program. He worked as a chef in both the local restaurant industry and for the last several years the restaurant industry in Birmingham, Alabama. A.J. was known to have big heart and was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he is proceeded in death by his uncle, Stephen J. Tibel.
In addition to his mother, Barbara, A.J. is survived by his sister, Tamara of Alabama; nieces Brooke and Ryleigh; and nephew Parker; as well as his uncle, Albert Tibel and his wife, Eileen of Dupont; and numerous cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 9:30AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Thursday morning. Friends may call Wednesday October 25, 2017 from 5-8PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston.
