Angelo A. Bellino, 76, of Pittston, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born in The Bronx, New York on December 10, 1940, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Mascola) Bellino.
Angelo was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School in The Bronx, New York, class of 1958.
After high school, he served in the United States Navy and later worked for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a train conductor for 13 years. Angelo then moved to Pittston, and was employed by the Pittston Area School District in the maintenance department for 17 years.
He was a life-long New York sports fan and enjoyed watching New York Rangers hockey, New York Yankees baseball, and New York Giants football. Angelo was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; he especially enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren’s sports games and activities.
In addition to his parents, Angelo was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Gail Bellino.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Joan (Garrison) Bellino; sons, John Bellino, Kingston, and his girlfriend Tina Grant, Joe Bellino and his wife Kathryn, West Pittston, and Christopher and his wife Kerri, Surprise, AZ; daughter, Jennifer Walsh and her husband John, Pittston; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan, and Anthony Bellino, J.J. Walsh, and Noah and Brienna Gibson, brother, John Bellino and his wife Jeanne, Bronx NY, sister Rose Marie Bellino, Bronx NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Monday, September 18, 2017, from 5-8pm at the Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
