Frank R. Stegura, 91, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Born in Pittston on March 29, 1926, he was the son of the late John and Helen Krivka Stegura.
He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and served in the US Army during 3 wars – World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, Mr. Stegura worked as a security guard for Techniglas, Inc.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Segura was preceded in death by brothers, John and Charles Stegura; and sisters, Catherine Petrus, Anna Remus, Mary Kologe, and Julia Kerlick.
Surviving are sisters, Helen Lori, Bear Creek; Margaret Kology, Cheektowaga, NY; and Rose Tobin, Kingston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 9:00am in St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, 695 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Those attending are asked to go directly to church. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
