Marlene A. Insalaco, 72, of Jenkins Township, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Pitarra) Nardone. A graduate of Jenkins Township High School, she was a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish, Laflin. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony P. Nardone; brother-in-law, John Burke; and a sister-in-law, Providence Katarsky.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Santo (Sandy) A. Insalaco, Sr.; sons, Santo (Sandy) A. Insalaco, Jr. and his wife Geralyn, Yatesville, and Michael Insalaco and his wife Nina, Maricopa, Arizona; grandchildren, Dominica, Rachel, Santo III, Julia, and Stephen Insalaco; brothers-in-law, Michael Insalaco and his wife Dolores, Moosic, Leonard Insalaco and his wife Lita, Pittston, Vincent Insalaco and his wife Corrine, Shavertown, and Norbert Katarsky, Harding; sisters-in-law, Betty Nardone, Pittston, Carmella Dixon and her husband Leonard, Moosic, Theresa Burke, Jenkins Township, and Grace Dvornicky and her husband Joe, Jenkins Township; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 10:00am in St. Maria Goretti Parish, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin with Father James J. Walsh, J.C.L., pastor, officiating. The Parish Rosary Group will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary in the church 30 minutes before the Mass. Those attending are asked to go directly to church on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Tuesday, August 15, 2017, from 4pm – 8pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
