Scotty Johnson, 63, of Pittston passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 17, 2017. Born in Pittston on December 26, 1953, he was the son of the late William and Louise Hughes Johnson.
He graduated from Pittston Area High School and worked as a union pipe-fitter; having worked at the Berwick Power Plant.
Scotty had a heart as big as the sky, he was the primary care giver to his Mom until the day she died. He had a great sense of humor and loved being around people. He also loved all pets. Most recently, he enjoyed helping his brother at Pittston City Beverage. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Surviving are his daughter, Stacey Walsh and her husband Martin, Pittston; grandchildren, John and Gracelyn Walsh; sister, Mary Lou and her husband Vince Tozzi, Yatesville; brothers, Joseph Johnson and his wife Denise, Avondale, AZ; and Robert Johnson and his wife Linda, Yatesville; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Thursday morning. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5pm-8pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA.
