Agnes H. Lanzone, 89, of West Pittston passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Highland Manor, Exeter. Born in West Pittston on March 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Baltisconis Jukas. She attended West Pittston Schools. In her earlier years she had worked at the Hitcher Biscuit Company, West Pittston and later as a cook in St. Cecilia’s convent.
She was a loving mother and aunt and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Lanzone; sisters, Rose Kaminskas and Evelyn Gardner.
Surviving are her three daughters, Linda Susan Suponcic and her husband James, Luzerne; Mary Agnes Petrewski and her husband John, Taylor; and LuAnn Hancock and her husband William Jr, West Pittston; numerous nieces, nephews; a grand-dog “Bunter” and a grand-cat “Kallie”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11am in Corpus Christi Parish Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 10am until the time of mass. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
