Frank Anthony Borzell, Sr., 67, of Jenkins Township passed away unexpectedly, November 28th, 2016, while hunting in Bradford County. Born in Pittston on April 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Sam and Ida Alesso Borzell.
He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Frank had worked for the Popple family construction businesses since 1972 most recently as superintendent for Pioneer Aggregates, Inc., Laflin. Although he could have retired, he loved his job and wanted to go on working as long as he could.
For over twenty years, he enjoyed hunting in Bradford County.
He especially enjoyed traveling – day trips and extended stays most recently a trip to Italy - with his wife Beverly. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially preparing special meals for everyone. He was loving husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Beverly Stella Borzell; sons Frank Borzell, Jr. and his girlfriend Leah Klink, Harding and Michael Borzell and his girlfriend Katrina Ridley, Pittston; grandson Carmine Borzell; granddaughter Abigail Klink; sister Angela Stucker and her husband William, Jenkins Township; brother-in-law, Pacifico (Butchie) Stella Jr. and his wife Roseann, Pittston Township; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 5, 2016 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning. Friends may call Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2pm-5pm at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Pittston Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to SPCA, Plains Township.
