Janice M. Holtz, 76, of West Pittston, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Janet (Kiselevach) Mugford.
She was a graduate of Pittston High school, class of 1957. In her earlier years, she was employed by Acme Markets and was an Avon Representative for 42 years. She was co-owner along with her late husband, Kenneth, of Old Mill Pine, West Pittston. She was a member of the Pittston Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth G. Holtz; and son-in-law, Lee A. Schobert.
Surviving are her daughter, Hazel Lynn Schobert, Harding; sons, Kenneth Holtz; Todd Holtz; and Jeffrey Holtz and his wife Christine all of West Pittston; grandchildren, Kenneth Granville II; Todd; Trevor; Samantha and her husband Joseph; and Alexandra; sister, Laurie Slusser, Falls; niece, Heather Santee, Harding; nephew, Joseph Slusser, Harding; great nephews Gabriel and Zachary Slusser; great niece Ryleigh Santee; cousins and friends.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in West Pittston Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston.
