Margaret M. Mulcahy, 92, formerly of Pittston Township, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Golden Living Center East Mountain, Plains Township.
Born in Pittston on June 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth Keating Mulcahy.
She had worked in the cafeteria of the Pittston Area School District for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Mulcahy; brothers, Joseph Mulcahy and Roscoe Mulcahy; sisters, Jule Adolf; Mary Hughes; Grace Adonizio; Anna Rose Joyce; and Gertrude (Trudy) Bender; two grandchildren, Erin Castgro and Brendon Mulcahy; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston.
